Job Description
This position serves a key role within Olympus by providing strategic analytical support to management the project portfolio across the organization. This individual will be required to collaborate cross-functionally to help implement strategic plans, devise financial modelling and profitability analysis, perform budgeting / forecasting, develop KPI’s and metrics, and ensure business performance management.
Job Duties
Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes and implement the necessary controls to effectively execute against the plan throughout the year; support broader, company-wide planning by working closely with FP&A, Site Finance, and other functions to develop, administer and execute fiscal control.
Responsible for accurate, timely, and insightful month-end financial reporting, variance analysis, commentary and updating presentations. Include risks, opportunities, and actionable course correction recommendations.
Download data from financial systems and generate management reporting and financial packages on both a routine and ad hoc basis, including project governance boards.
Collaborate with managers by providing analysis tools that will allow functional areas to evaluate and choose between tactical options, define measures of success and the related target metrics and KPI’s, and provide reporting and analysis as to results.
Partner with management in assigned areas to understand business subject matter and provide financial guidance and support in proactively managing risks and opportunities.
Participate in cross-functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies and report results to senior management.
Work with IT and Finance departments upon request to design and implement data and reporting solutions to meet both short-term and long-term needs of supported functions. Ensure system data integrity.
Maintain project master files, managing changes in positions, employees, and fiscal controls to produce timely, complete, and accurate reports and analysis.
Serve as financial lead on project teams, perform financial modeling to facilitate investment decisions, validate financial data, and work to control and forecast project spend.
Provide ad hoc analytical support as needed.
All Other essential duties as directed.
Job Qualification
Required:
B.S. required and MBA/CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years business planning and financial analysis experience.
Individual must have experience implementing financial headcount and expense planning systems modules; relevant software skills with Oracle, Hyperion, SmartView, and MicroStrategy or equivalent software.
Minimum of 8 years of monthly closing experience with detailed knowledge of optimizing account hierarchy structures, expense allocation methodology and application and validating data.
Preferred:
Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Individual must have an elevated level of motivation, commitment and dedication combined with a proactive mind set.
Individual must be a team player.
Must be able to multi-task.
Advanced skill level in use of Microsoft Excel, Power Point).
