  ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a major finance contributor over an assigned region and/or business line, will be a key partner to the operational leader by helping to define, and drive all financial analysis and reporting for their assigned business. The successful candidate will be seen as a driver of results within the business, across disciplines (census growth, revenue rate, labor management, overhead staffing, collections and capital expenditures)

  Drive Business Performance: More than reporting the numbers, the Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring key performance metrics and recommending action to improve operational performance across many areas. Specifically:

  o Modeling of each agency's financials - M Odel the optimal financial performance for each agency, based on their occupancy, monitor performance against the m odel, so that leaders can drive change at the field level where gaps exist

  o Monthly Overhead tracking, position, and pay control - On a weekly and monthly basis, monitor overhead staffing and all position and pay control. Supports company efforts to drive an environment of fiscal management across every level of the organization and ensure all agencies have the information needed to remain in line with approved overhead staffing plans and field pay is in line with budgets

  o Weekly labor management - Each week, review worked hours compared to planned hours, capacity planning to identify areas where staffing needs to be addressed, and then recommend solutions to labor issues and implement those solutions as quickly as possible

  o Client authorizations - Optimize revenue capture by monitoring clients with expired or soon-to-expire service authorization and inform the field of the actions needed to clear those authorizations in order to avoid revenue adjustmentsAccounting Focus - Review accounting for revenue and expense accruals as well as presenting gross profit. Prepare variance analysisDeep Dive Operational / Financial reviews - Complete detailed reviews of individual locations. Each location will be reviewed regularly, with particular attention to locations with significant variances to monthly budgets / forecast and/or with demonstrated changes to their run ratesStandardized Reporting - To support their businesses, ensure all reporting is produced timely and provides valuable information to understand current business trends, and utilizes reporting to identify focus areas - addressing with operations and other functions as needed. Reporting drives performance and this position is to ensure that the reports help drive performance that is in line with expectationsForecast - Develop monthly forecasts, driven by key operational metrics analyzed in partnership with operations partners, and present forecast to senior leadership regularly. Provide flash updates on metrics and corresponding revenue and EBITDA each week throughout each month close periodBudget - Create annual operational budgets for each site/location within the assigned business, assessing run rates, growth plans, staffing needs/requests, and regulatory impacts. Present budgets to leadership within operating segment and to Sr. LeadershipAd hoc analysis / projects - As a valuable resource to a business unit, various analytical initiatives will be assigned. These include rate/volume variance analyses, wage increase valuation, proforma development for new business, union negotiation analysis and other operational reporting projects that may arise

  QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or financeCertified Public Accountant/Certified Financial Analyst or Master Business Administration preferredThree to five years of relevant experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

  Ability to use complex reporting processes, systems, and report writing toolsHigh attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracyExperience in budgeting, and forecastingExperience with development of variance and trend financial analysisStrong personal computer skills, including Excel and MS Office tools, spreadsheet, and database usageAbility to effectively and professionally communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel both internal and external to the companyKnowledge of current industry trends, standards, and practicesPersonal Attributes

  Highly self-motivated and directedAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentHigh degree of sensitivity and discretion in working with confidential informationMust be team oriented
