　　Are you the type of person who is passionate about developing top-notch electrical systems and components within a collaborative team? In this role, you'll be responsible for designing cutting-edge electrical solutions for our state-of-the-art heavy equipment. We’re looking for team members who are eager to contribute their strong electrical problem-solving skills in a cross functional team environment.

　　What You’ll Do

　　Analyze, define, and document electrical requirements for safety, environmental, cost, and system reliability.

　　Design and develop electrical systems and harnesses based on application requirements, in adherence to internal and industry standards.

　　Support the building and testing of machine control systems in collaboration with engineering technicians and adjacent engineering teams.

　　Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives involving electrical design processes, best practices, and testing.

　　Maintain and enhance existing electrical designs, implementing optimizations to best support downstream departments and users.

　　Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their growth and skill development within the electrical design domain.

　　What We’re Looking For

　　Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture or Electrical Engineering with a minimum eight years related experience.

　　Or 2 or 4-year college degree with a minimum fourteen years related experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial machinery sector.

　　Proven expertise in electrical engineering, including a mastery of electrical principles, components, and application into control systems.

　　Demonstrated mastery to design complex electrical harnesses with a high level of detail to meet the needs of a rugged application.

　　Expert in developing, debugging, and deploying electrical systems for heavy machinery with a large variety of circuits.

　　Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective cross-functional teamwork to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall product design.

　　Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a passion for guiding junior engineers.

　　Expertise with electrical analysis tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, CAN diagnostic, frequency generators, and programmable loads.

　　Proficient with data analysis tools such as Ncode, Dewesoft, or Matlab.

　　Knowledge of environmental and safety standards applicable to heavy equipment design.

　　Understanding of hydraulic system principles and their integration with electrical designs.

　　Expert utilizing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or other tools to identify vulnerabilities in control systems.

　　Deep understanding of embedded hardware circuitry and considerations for system interactions.

　　Expertise with digital and radio frequency signal testing and analysis.

　　Experience completing DC power circuit analysis for motors, alternators, and various inductive loads.

　　Proficient in the design, testing and analysis of CAN (Controller Area Network) communication systems adhering to SAE J1939.

　　Deep understanding with a wide variety of sensing technologies and their application in a rugged environment.

　　Travel

　　HYBRID: Some of a team member’s day-to-day work may be best done at a location other than a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager.
