Eaton’s ES AMER ESS is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer. This role is located at our facility in Waukesha, WI and offers relocation to those currently residing in the U.S.
Our Sr Product Design Engineer will provide Mechanical/Electrical support for the development, design, manufacture, testing and application of new and existing substation transformers. Project team members are responsible for implementation of new products, Value Engineering, and Engineer to Order by meeting specifications, timetables, budgets and objectives. Our Sr Design Engineer participates in 2-4 projects per year along with completing weekly Engineer to Order substation transformer designs. This role also executes on mechanical/electrical design, simulation and testing and actively participates in generating new ideas and concepts for new products and cost savings on existing products.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

What you’ll do:
Design and development of industrial equipment (Ideally Electro-Mechanical type products)
Execute project activities with cross functional teams
Design and develop equipment with 3D CAD Models and utilizes 3D CAD fit analysis tools
Achieve production cost reductions through knowledge of metal fabrication and assembly processes.
Create custom product designs that meet customer requirements
Provide technical support to manufacturing and less experienced engineers
Collaborate within engineering team and other cross functional teams
Identify opportunities to improve productivity in the manufacturing process
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
3+ years of design engineering experience
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and within the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Design and development of industrial equipment in the Electro-Mechanical field.
Project Team experience
FEA, Project Management, Metal Fabrication and Electrical/Mechanical Analysis experience
Experience in 3D CAD
Electrical schematic and control box design experience
