Position Summary: Assist in the implementation of the skills training program for all orientees. Responsible for assisting in planning of schedules, coordination of activities. Monitoring of asepsis, compliance with universal precautions and the documentation of continuous quality improvement activities. EXPERIENCE: *Minimum of five years Central Processing or Operating Room experience required with direct knowledge of Operating Room instruments including, but not limited to, orthopedic, laparoscopic, aseptic technique and infection control. Must have direct experience with steam autoclaves, Steris units and ETO or Sterrad sterilization. Inventory management skills and three years of lead technician or CPD/OR supervisory experience required. *LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * High School diploma or equivalent required. Current certification required. *QUALIFICATIONS: *Demonstrates leadership skills. Assists in the training of staff and orientees. Ability to organize, monitor and document the training program for all staff/new personnel. Monitors work flow, quality of work and promote effective communication. Maintain a high level of skills as a central processing technician. Must be dependable, reliable and able to maintain confidentiality. Ability to follow detailed instructions, organize complicated technical assignments and work well under pressure. We take great care of careers.
