Job Overview
The Senior Hospice Clinical Manager is an RN with 2 years+ of Hospice experience and/or one year + of clinical management experience. In this role you will ensure delivery of quality care through supervision and leadership of an interdisciplinary team and utilize resources in a cost effective and efficient manner. In addition to the full scope of the Clinical RN Manager role, this role assists the Clinical Director in ensuring optimal operations and care delivery are in place. This role also works collaboratively with peer managers in strengthening all teams. This role will manage two teams with 40 direct reports.

Territory : Occasional local travel to oversee teams
Hours: 40 hours Hybrid/2 days remote
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Registered Nurse (RN) license MA and NH
Two (2) years of hospice OR (1) year of management experience.
Valid Drivers License
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Essential Functions
Works with Medical Director to deliver optimal hospice care.
Teaches hospice philosophy including compassion, clinical expertise, and promotes service excellence to employees.
Ensures contribution from all members of the IDT in the delivery of hospice care for each patient.
Utilizes team building and problem-solving skills to promote optimal team performance, effectiveness, efficiency.
Addresses and resolves complaints promptly.
Completes assigned projects and reports per deadline.
Maintains continuity of care by IDT when staff are on vacation, sick, etc.
Leads IDT meetings.
Ensure status changes are left promptly and correctly.
Conducts random chart audits. Follows through on any areas that appear to be deficient or incorrect according to the Hospice regulations and policies.
Approves only invoices related to the delivery of hospice care.
Develops effective relationships with referral sources.
Works with UR to ensure availability of documentation and information needed for payment.
Hires staff with appropriate skills and experience for available positions.
Acts as point contact leader within Hospice when Director of Hospice and Palliative Care is not present or readily available.
Keeps Director of Hospice and Palliative Care apprised of activities and issues. Other responsibilities as required.
