  Job Summary:

  The Senior Accounting Clerk position works under the direction of the Senior Accountant to support HealthIT’s Clinical Care Group’s finance and accounting activities. This position performs accounting and clerical functions by selecting and applying guidelines and policy with minimal guidance. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to initiating and processing transactions, obtaining approvals, tracking financial information, researching discrepancies, maintenance and creation of spreadsheets, and communicating with vendors and staff.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  This position requires a high school diploma and four years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Management of Clinical Care Group (CCG) invoices received through a shared email inbox. This includes responding to all requests for payment status, vetting and submitting invoices for payment and receiving appropriate approvals if necessary.

  Primary liaison for CCG related vendor inquires between the vendor and Disbursements.

  Creating purchase order requisitions for CCG purchases and renewals. Requires routing to approver, following the requisition through Procurement and sending copies to related parties when the purchase order is issued.

  Management of contract updates as needed in contract repository.

  Review monthly encumbrance and exception report. Involves researching open purchase orders for missing invoices and resolving invoice exceptions.

  Backup for cost center monthly journal entries, reconciliation and support for Finance/Accounting team.Additional Information: This is a full-time position, M-F, fully remote. Salary is commensurate upon years of education and experience. Background screens will be performed, and education will be verified prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information and/or documentation.

  TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

Able to interpret and explain rules and regulations that are ambiguous or unclear. Directs others in interpreting rules and regulations on the job and trains others in them.

  • Data Entry (Intermediate): The ability to transcribe information from the original source into an electronic system according to written and verbal instructions efficiently and accurately.

  • Accounting Reporting (Novice): Knowledge of the general financial accounting practices and principles. Able to analyze and interpret financial statements as well as develop reports and present them in a comprehensive and intelligent manner.
