Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off, and much more!The Full-time Seed Technician, under the direction of the R & D Seed Tech Lead, will have the responsibility for managing inbred production, cleaining and storage activities, maintaining buildings, grounds, and field equipment, and serving as support for the Seed Research Group. The expected compensation range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending upon skills & experience.Responsibilities:Perform duties relating to field managment, including all activities from planting to harvesting.Seed Cleaning, Treatment, and Packaging.Building and equipment maintenance.Assist the seed research operation.Seed Tracking and Organization.Germination Activities as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Ability to effectively communicate with team members.Ability to learn and operate seed inventory system.Knowledge of vegetable crop production.Knowledge of field plot design and experiemental procedures.Ability to safely operate tillage, planting, application, and harvest equipment, along with associated maintenance.Knowledge of facilities maintenance.Education:High School Diploma.AS Degree in Ag or Maintenance-related field is preferred.Experience:Two to five years of experience in the agricultural production or ag research field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Seneca Foods Corporation is committed to providing equal opportunity for all, through a positive and continuing affirmative action program.
