VACANCY: School Psychologist in the Spearfish School District. Position will be contracted through Black Hills Special Services. Spearfish School District has an approximate enrollment of 2400 students grades K-12.

　　DESCRIPTION: Provide mental health services as appropriate; Interpret assessment results for the purpose of diagnosis and placement (majority of cognitive ability evaluations are completed by a psychological examiner); Participate in interdisciplinary team and IEP meetings; Assist in planning programs that meet the special needs of the students; Work with children and youth who have a variety of disabilities; Assist with developing IEPs for special education students; Provide consultation to teachers, parents and school staff; Help to develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.

　　QUALIFICATIONS: Must have or be able to obtain a South Dakota School Service Special Certificate, with School Psychologist endorsement.

　　SALARY: Salary range $85,000 - $90,000 and a 190-day contract. Salary based upon degree and experience. Entry level or experienced candidates should apply. Paid internship may be considered at a prorated basis.
