Position SummaryVersiti Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) program applicants must meetthe following Board of Registry requirements for SBBaccreditation/American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)certification: One year of full-time clinical laboratory experience,with an emphasis/interest in blood banking preferred. One of thefollowing two options: MT/MLS or BB (ASCP) certification and abaccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university.Baccalaureate degree from an accelerated college/university with a majorin a biological or physical science, including the required courseslisted above. Individuals interested in applying to the program mustalso provide the following: Completed application form. Applications areONLY accepted January - April 1. Three letters of recommendation,including one from a current supervisor. College transcripts, includinglaboratory training records, if applicable (certified medical laboratoryscientists, MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) do not need to provide trainingrecords).
