In this role you will collaborate hand-in-handwith Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to help bring Snowflaketo market and grow the company.You will have the opportunity to apply your passion for reinventing the dataindustry and thrive in our dynamic environment, stay up to date on theever-evolving technology landscape and act as a technical evangelist for bothinternal teams and customers.IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technicalcontributors at prospects and customers.Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate thevalue of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proofof concept to design and implementation.Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologiesand vendors and how to position Snowflake in relation to them.Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing tocontinuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing.
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:Minimum 3 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales orpost-sales technical roleUnderstanding and experience with data architecture, data analytics andcloud technologyHands on experience with SQL or Python required, preferably bothExperience working with modern data technology (e.g. dbt, spark,containers, devops tooling, orchestration tools, git, etc.) a plusExperience with data science and machine learning technology (shallowlearning, deep learning, LLMs, Hugging Face, notebooks, etc.) a plusAbility to solve customer specific business problems and apply Snowflake'ssolutionsCustomer-facing skills to effectively communicate our vision to a wide varietyof technical and executive audiencesUniversity degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or relatedfields, or equivalent experience.We are looking for a Sales Engineer who is accustomed to solving customer'smost complex problems and closing large deals. In this role you will workdirectly with the sales team and channel partners to understand the needs ofour customers, strategize on how to navigate winning sales cycles, providecompelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof ofConcepts, and ultimately close business.As a Snowflake Sales Engineer you must share our passion about reinventing thedata space, thrive in a dynamic environment and have the flexibility andwillingness to jump in and get things done. You are equally comfortable inboth a business and technical context, interacting with executives andtalking shop with technical audiences.The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:This role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's commission plan and itis common for employees in this role to receive total on-target earnings of$173,600 - $241,500. The estimated base salary for this role is$130,200 - $181,125.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's equity plan.The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based onpermissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, andgeographic location.
