Airframe and Powerplant License required. 4 years aircraftexperience on large/mid-size aircraft. Proficient in the utilization ofFederal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms and documents. Proficient inblueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics and QCProcedures. Position Purpose: The Airworthiness Inspector physicallyinspects aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensurethat workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and thatcustomer aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition withall required. documentation properly completed and filed. JobDescription Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:Responsible for all Quality Control inspections on aircraft/componentsin the Repair Station. . Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, andcomponent repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAAapproved/acceptable data. Coordinates mechanical, electrical andinspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance oroutfitting. . Keeps accurate, neat and legible records of the workperformed on aircraft/components. . Coordinates throughout assigned jobswith RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timelymanner. . Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy andcompletion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service. .Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flightactivities. Mentors technicians on effective documentation. AdditionalFunctions: Communicates with management as required. to identify workassignments and delivery schedules. . Continually monitors repairstation compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted site RepairStation and Quality Control Manual. . Completes FAA required. conformityinspections and complies certification data for presentation to the FAAfor approval. . In support of aircraft certification and final phasetesting, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. . Performother duties as assigned.
