Leprino Foods Company, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Janitorial Floor Tech to joing our team in Roswell, NM. Leprino Foods is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. 　　The Floor Tech is primarily responsible for performing floor mopping, buffing, stripping & waxing and keeping up the daily appearance of the floors in hallways, offices, conference rooms etc. The Floor Tech may be pulled to cover Lead duties, if necessary, may also be pulled to perform Janitorial housekeeping duties as needed and is expected to maintain a clean environment, adhere to all the Good Manufacturing Practices, wear Proper Protective Equipment, Understand Standard Operating Procedures and know Critical Control Points pertaining to Food Safety and USDA regulations.

　　The Floor Tech must be able to read/write and perform basic arithmetic in order to understand written instructions, complete work orders, and understands the safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals. Must become proficient in the operation of the floor scrubber, use of stripper/sealer and floor wax, vacuum cleaner, and carpet cleaner.

　　The Floor Tech will communicate with others to deliver quality customer service to their areas. The incumbent must wear personal protective equipment in high noise areas, when handling chemicals, etc. and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). This position could require the incumbent to have to jump in and help w/ Janitorial Technician duties and responsibilities could change depending on Supervisor and business needs.

　　At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role is $19.14 with step increase at 6 months. In addition, a night shift premium of $1.10 per hour is added for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.

　　Monitor product flow on production line assuring product is processed, cut, inspected and packaged correctly.

　　Communicate effectively for product transitions.

　　Complies with all product handling and food safety regulations.

　　Maintain good housekeeping at all times, including cleaning empty tubs and weighing scrap.

　　Observe proper safety policies and procedures at all times.

　　Understands customer specifications and knows where to find customer information.

　　Follow instructions and direction.

　　Can demonstrate Lockout/Tagout procedures for all equipment.

　　Knows, understands, and performs all job duties per established SOPs.

　　Communication as required with Supervisors, Forepersons, other departments and coworkers.

　　Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.

　　Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Must be able read/write and perform basic arithmetic.

　　Ability to maintain GMPs.

　　Ability to maintain safety standards and procedures.

　　Ability to delegate responsibility as necessary.

　　Must be capable of learning how to operate and operating safely the floor scrubber/buffer, carpet cleaner and any other equipment necessary to keeping up the plant floors.

　　Must be able to lift and carry, push and pull up to 55 lbs. Must be able to climb up and down stairs while carrying trash bags and supplies, must be able to fully extend arms overhead and in front of body, squat/kneel, bend, and twist. Must be able to drive a vehicle, work with tools that could cause full body vibration, and work in an environment that could have sudden changes in temperature, from hot to cold and vice versa.

　　Ability to perform essential job functions safely.

　　Must be a minimum of 18 years old.

　　Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7-day operation.

　　Must be able to work a minimum of 8.5 hours.

　　Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy

　　Must be willing and able to work any shift, day, or night

　　Must have a strong work history

　　Bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing upstairs/ladders are required throughout the shift.
