　　Discovery Community College has an instructing opportunity available for the right individual, to help guide our students through their HCA training. 

　　Our instructors play a vital role in changing lives and positively impacting the health care sector in BC, leading students through their theory, laboratory and clinical training toward entering the work force as fully qualified and desperately needed HCAs.

　　The instruction will be through in-house/facility and/or online classrooms.

　　Our instructors have the opportunity to teach full time or teach and nurse intermittently.

　　What you have:

　　Passion for making a real difference required!

　　Current full registration with the BCCNM – required.

　　Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required.

　　2800 hours of nursing experience

　　nursing experience must include working with older adults with complex health needs

　　Nursing experience must include experience or orientation in home support and multi-level care

　　Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing)

　　Provincial Instructors Diploma and previous experience or

　　Aptitude and willingness to learn and obtain an Instructor Diploma (with our help)
