Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.

Additional requirements include:

Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date

Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date

Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire.

NIHSS Certification obtained within 90 days after hire date.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability two work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language skills able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

12 bed unit (8 critical beds, 4 telemetry)Care for post STEMI (heart attack) patients, post Cardiac Cath care, Vascular procedure post care (FEMPOP, endarterectomy, vascular bypass, etc.), post bariatric surgery patient, etc.CVU self-schedules for staffingAbout our Health System
