　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

　　What you will do in this role:

　　Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.

　　Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.

　　Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.

　　Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.

　　Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

　　What Qualifications You Wil Need:

　　Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required

　　Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or

　　Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

　　Current BLS & ACLS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross

　　Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred

　　One or more years of experience as an Acute Care RN

　　HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a 229-bed acute care facility accredited by the Joint Commission. Since 1983, HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital has provided quality care to the Treasure Coast community. We offer minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, general and vascular surgery. The Orthopedic and Spine Institute offers the latest in orthopedic equipment. This ensures patients have access to high-quality care. HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and an American College of Cardiology accredited Chest Pain Center. The Emergency Room at the main hospital and the freestanding ER at Darwin Square are designed with consideration for special populations such as pediatric and geriatric patients.
