　　Summary:

　　The Pre-Arrival Supervisor oversees a multi-disciplinary team that supports all processes around financially clearing patients before their arrival. This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions in the Pre-Arrival Unit.

　　Responsibilities:

　　• Leads a team of individuals in the performance of authorizations, insurance verification and financial counseling.

　　• Ensures that departmental standards and goals are achieved, timelines are met and service excellence is provided in all aspects of work.

　　• Oversees team members to ensure insurance benefits coordination, and insurance authorization is obtained so that Patients/Guarantors are informed of all financial liabilities and that pertinent information is documented into appropriate systems.

　　• Assists team members as necessary with questions; concerns, and special projects while maintaining an appropriate workload balance.

　　• Maintains timekeeping for all Pre-Arrival Team Members.

　　• Assists with continuous improvement task associated with organization's Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system

　　Qualifications

　　Required

　　• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

　　• 5+ years of experience in a healthcare payments support role, engaged with pre-registration, insurance verification, prior authorization/notification requirements, and patient financial information.
