A Brief Overview
The Loan Support Representative is an entry level position focusing on processing consumer and/or non-complex commercial loans. This position will acquire skills and knowledge in order to perform all the processing tasks. The Representative will communicate and coordinate with Loan Officers, customers, and internal departments.

What you will do
Process consumer and/or non-complex commercial loans
Prepare loan closing packets
Initiate funds disbursement
Collect and review incoming documents on assigned files and reconcile any inconsistencies
Run credit reports and notarize documents
Prepare files for document imaging process
Input loan data into system and review accuracy
Order various items including but not limited to, environmental reports, appraisal updates, surveys, hazard insurance, etc., at key milestones of the project to ensure Loan Policy is upheld
Prepare and complete correspondence and logs
Monitor transaction in loan servicing system and review for any outstanding items
Perform maintenance on loans when necessary
Communicate and coordinate with Loan Officers, customers, internal departments, third party vendors
Review internal reports and ensure risk control procedures are being followed
Complete rate monitoring and lock processes for loans
Communicate and collaborate with borrowers ensuring high customer service standards and high level of efficiency and process
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy
Minimum Requirements
Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant work experience in the function
Bilingual in English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin
Preferred Requirements
Prior loan experience
Familiarity with lending compliance and regulations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient time-management and organizational skills
Customer Service orientated
Detail-oriented and strong multi-tasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to think critically and solve basic problems
Ability to learn and navigate various bank and loan applications and systems
Ability to learn internal loan guidelines and regulations
Ability to learn FirstBank Loan Policy and products
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Ability to work independently
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
Must be able to exchange accurate information
Salary Range
$20.00 Per Hour to $28.95 Per Hour
