As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:
Oversee the hotel's reservation department, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of room bookings and cancellations.
Develop and implement reservation policies and procedures to optimize room revenue and occupancy rates.
Monitor reservation trends, analyze data, and implement strategies to maximize room revenue and achieve sales targets.
Coordinate with other hotel departments, including front office, sales, and housekeeping, to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Train, supervise, and evaluate reservation staff to maintain high levels of customer service and accuracy in reservation processes.
Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and reservation issues in a timely and professional manner.
Utilize reservation systems and technology to manage room inventory, pricing, and distribution channels effectively.
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotions and packages to drive reservations and revenue.
Prepare and present regular reports on reservation performance to senior management.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies.
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
Preferably candidates with pre-opening hotel experience.
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in hotel reservation management or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of reservation systems, distribution channels, and revenue management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various departments and guests.
Familiarity with online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and central reservation systems (CRS).
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in managing room inventory and rates.
Leadership skills to guide and motivate reservation staff.
Customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in relevant software and reservation management tools.
