The Ross Lab is looking to add a Research Technician to their dedicated team of caregivers. The Ted Ross Lab focuses on developing vaccines against cancer and respiratory viruses, including influenza, COVID, respiratory syncytial virus, as well as HIV and arboviruses. The Research Technologist performs the following functions:
Performs laboratory techniques and procedures required for experimental studies projects.
Assists with establishing and scheduling various procedures and analyses.
Conducts tests and procedures utilizing various laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Assembles experimental results for review by various staff.
Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
The ideal future caregiver is someone who:
Has at least 2 years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills and decisive judgement.
Effectively works with minimal supervision.
Can work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Job Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, performs and monitors daily project protocols.
Collects, prepares and maintains required research documentation, including informed consent records, case records, clinical notes and medical reports.
Reports and assists with the management of protocol deviations, adverse events and other project-related issues.
Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the lab.
Orders and purchases supplies as directed from the supervisors.
Gathers information on new equipment necessary in the lab and recommends purchases.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field and knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment, or Master's degree in biological sciences or related field and one year experience.Languages:

Work Experience:

May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc
