Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist III within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The primary purpose of the Research Teaching Specialist III position is to conduct specialized research, using judgement to adapt methods and techniques. May be responsible for the management of a small-sized laboratory area. Assists the Principal Investigator with budgetary, training and administrative responsibilities. Incumbent will work in the area of molecular cancer biology. May supervise interns, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.The current focus of the Hu lab is the function of p53 in cellular metabolism, the functional study of several novel p53 target genes, and their contribution to tumor suppression. Through above functional and mechanistic studies, the lab aims to further understand the functions of p53 and identify new molecules in the p53 pathway for potential therapeutic intervention. The candidate will have the opportunity to join a highly translational laboratory. Among the key duties for this position are the following:

Work Arrangement | Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
