Job Summary
The Research Specialist II will assist with scientific projects in amolecular genetics research laboratory that focuses on wound healingusing cnidarian (jellyfish, anemones etc.) as model organisms.
Responsibilities
Perform molecular and cell biology methods such as PCR, DNAextraction, gel electrophoresis, in situ hybridization,microinjection, and cloning.Maintains a clean and healthy cnidarian marine habitat.Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literaturereviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and otherdocuments.Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting withstudents and other laboratory staff under the direction of theprincipal investigator.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
