Organization Overview

　　Our lab consists of 15 lab members (Research Assistants, Graduate Students, and Postdocs) studying the molecular basis of obesity-associated diseases. Our studies focus on the biology of white and brown adipose tissue and span from basic molecular and cell biology to whole animal physiology and human subjects.

　　Overview

　　The Research Assistant will work on studying the development, function, and dynamics of thermogenic brown and beige fat cells. This will involve acquiring skills in developmental biology, genomics, cell biology, and physiology.

　　Responsibilities

　　Responsibilities include:

　　Maintenance and in vivo experiments with mouse lines

　　Cell culture experiments to evaluate the function of the gene of interest

　　Data analysis, lab presentations

　　Assistance with lab upkeep

　　Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested

　　Qualifications

　　Required:

　　Bachelor's degree with a science major

　　Prior laboratory experience, including molecular biology and cell culture techniques

　　A strong willingness to work with animal models

The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
