The Rental Manager will be responsible for managing rental sales personnel, managing equipment maintenance, and maintaining rental operations.
Essential Job Duties:
Manages Rental Personnel
ensuring top priority of customer service with inside rental coordinators and outside rental sales personnel
see that rental revenue goals are being met and exceeded
maintaining open communication for efficient and effective operations
keeping abreast of customer's needs and concerns
helping to develop phone techniques for greater customer satisfaction and problem solving
traveling with outside rental sales personnel as needed to keep abreast of customer base, helping to grow and shore up business relationships
assisting with customer disputes
helping to pinpoint and overcome barriers in targeting key companies by always being on the lookout for business opportunities
allocating time for each area of responsibility based on size and volume
being aware of our market rates and knowing our Rouse data and what it tells us
Manages Rental Maintenance and Damages with Fleet Maintenance Manager
maintaining direct contact with branch's service managers
ensuring rental equipment is being serviced properly and timely (PM's)
directing the reduction of and controlling rental equipment maintenance
working with Rental Sales personnel and Fleet Maintenance Manager to obtain payment for equipment damaged from customer abuse
establishing a priority check-in system to make the customer and the company aware of any damage
communicating priority of quick resolution from quote to settlement to all involved personnel
Maintain Rental Operations
keeping short cash current and to an absolute minimum
overseeing the neat location and placement of equipment on the yard
organizing equipment movement between locations for cost effectiveness and adequate inventory at each location
assisting Rental Operations Manager in managing inventory by identifying lazy assets and high maintenance units to reduce interest and depreciation expenses
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience
minimum 3-5 years sales related experience
previous management experience preferred
ability to present and sell at all customer levels
ability to work in fast-pace environment while multi-tasking
strong verbal and written communication skills
outstanding customer service skills
ability to obtain forklift certification
ability to work independently with minimal supervision
ability to organize and independently manage time
minimum 21 years of age
clean driving record
Education
College degree preferred
High School Diploma with relevant experience
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions
This position will be working in operating facilities and outdoors traveling to numerous customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.
This position is continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to sit, stand, walk, or climb.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
Position requires driving vehicle to and from customer locations.
This position is deemed a Safety Sensitive job for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act and the Louisiana Therapeutic Marijuana Act.
