　　Description: A remote Sr. Structural Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will need a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 7 years of experience. In this role, you will conduct structural analyses of a wide variety of component designs utilizing advanced analytical and CAD tools. This includes turbo machinery components, mechanical systems & controls, and tooling & instrumentation for space vehicles and rocket engines.

　　Job Duties:

　　Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and post-process results

　　Provide technical recommendations for optimizing hardware designs and modeling approach

　　Review structural test plans and reports

　　Create and present substantiation documentation of analysis results

　　Support data acquisition/ reduction of hardware vibration environment measurements

　　Support hardware certification testing

　　Review non-conformance/ damage reports

　　Interface with customers, hardware suppliers, and participate in design reviews / trade studies

　　Required:

　　BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field

　　At least seven years' experience

　　Strong communication and presentation skills

　　High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

　　Due to the nature of our work US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

　　Previous experience with turbomachinery

　　Experience using Ansys

　　Preferred Skills:

　　Experience evaluating stress and life of parts under vibration, thermal and static loading

　　Experience with elastic and plastic analysis a plus

　　Experience with space vehicles and rocket engines components

　　Experience performing fracture mechanics / damage tolerance analysis

　　NASGRO experience

　　Vibration testing experience

　　Aerospace experience

　　Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a plus

　　Experience in gas turbine engines and aircrafts components

　　Compensation:

　　We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $87,000 to $106,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
