  Our Customer Growth team works with Business Owners to create long term meaningful relationships. Our goal is to understand their business and how our products and services can help them to be more successful and achieve their business goals. Through a consultative approach, we help Business Owners optimize the rewards and benefits they receive from our products and help them leverage Capital One products to increase their profitability. We serve as trusted advisors, and informed teachers guiding business owners. Our field-based team is present in the lives of our customers and engaging with them in their community and workplace.

  You will be instrumental in assisting businesses to thrive and grow. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and serve as an advocate for our customers. They will be innovative and highly organized. You will need to drive business results while delivering superior service to our customers. Independent, results-driven, goal-oriented, self-starters will thrive within our organization. You will be responsible for growing customer purchase volume in your assigned territory. You will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle.

  This includes outreach to business owners to set appointments, assessing the needs of current customers using a consultative approach, and driving existing account engagement. This person needs to be process-oriented and highly organized. You will be expected to educate customers on the Capital One value proposition and solutions to benefit their businesses.

  General Responsibilities:

  Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach current customers how they can leverage payment solutions (purchasing, travel, and electronic account payable) to positively impact their businessLearn the purchasing needs and behaviors of our current customers.Analyze the total business spend to identify additional opportunities to leverage our products and servicesBuild broad and technical product knowledge and an understanding of how customer processes work with our products and servicesAssist our customers with incorporating our products into their purchasing platform and bookkeeping softwareMaintain and update CRM systems to ensure data complianceDrive incremental charge volume on the card with existing customers

  Competencies:

  Ability to secure appointments directly with customersProven experience growing existing customers in the fieldRelationship building and strategic selling skillsStrong organizational, interpersonal, telephone and PC SkillsExcellent needs-based oral presentation skillsProject and process management, interpersonal influence, networking, project ownership, and workflow management skills

  Basic Qualifications:

  At least 3 years of sales experience

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree5 years of outside customer sales experience as an individual contributor, driving new acquisition and managing a client portfolio1 year of experience working with Small Businesses Customers1 year of experience in the financial services industryProficiency using Salesforce.comProficiency using Google Suite
