About Rehabilitation Psychologist- Neuroscience Center

  Regions is seeking an experienced Psychologist to work with our Rehab patients at our state-of-the-art Neuroscience Center. Providers duties will include completing psychological, diagnostic assessments for individuals with various neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, tumor, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and other neurological conditions. Providers will also offer services to individuals involved in rehabilitation of injuries such as amputation or spinal cord injury. Providers will offer evidenced-based psychotherapy for adjustment to the above conditions. This will often include treatment of anxiety and depression related to adjustment, grief, trauma, changes in identity and life role, as well as changes in relationship dynamics, and other psychological concerns. Consultation with family members, when appropriate, will also be required. Providers will be required to have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in concert with the multidisciplinary team. Team members will include medical doctors, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation therapists such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language therapists, as well as other team members. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p Required Qualifications: Doctorate degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD). Two years of supervised clinical experience with a broad range of presenting problems and therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused brief therapy. License to practice independently as Licensed Psychologist (LP). Preferred Qualifications: Preferred, but not required, experience performing psychological testing to help with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. The ability to interpret and understand neuropsychological reports for the purposes of case conceptualization and treatment planning would also be of benefit.
