　　JOB SUMMARY:

　　Provides leadership, management, and support in assigned area(s) to ensure achievement of Mercy Health’s strategic and operational plans by effectively managing human, financial and capital resources within the spirit of its mission and values. Assumes responsibility for coordinating all available resources to assure a high degree of safe, appropriate care and treatment for all patients on their unit. Works collaboratively to plan, implement and evaluate health care standards within the unit. Works collaboratively with the Director to facilitate problem resolution.

　　EDUCATION:

　　Current RN license in State of Ohio

　　BSN required

　　Magnet recognized certification required or must obtain within 1 year

　　Certification in specialty area of expertise preferred

　　Certified in ACLS - specialty units

　　BLS certified by American Heart Association

　　EXPERIENCE:

　　3-5 years of experience as a professional nurse within a hospital setting

　　Previous OB experience or management experience is preferred but not required

　　Computer literacy
