　　JOB SUMMARY:

　　Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

　　EDUCATION:

　　Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

　　Preferred Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.

　　REQUIREMENTS:

　　Minimum (2) two years recent/current experience in specialty required (pediatric, pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU experience).

　　Active New Jersey RN licensure required.

　　BLS from the American Heart Association is required.

　　NRP required.

　　PALS required.

　　Must have I.V. certification and pass the test upon hire.

　　Must have a Cardiac Rhythm certificate and pass the test upon hire.

　　4 total contact hours of stroke continuing education from current year (must have certification)

　　Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

　　Successful completion of all Orientation programs is required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
