Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) Data Specialist - Stroke Program: - Abstracts and enters all necessary patient and clinical information ensuring accuracy for consistent reporting - Identifies and tracks stroke quality indicators for the stroke program - Designs and generates standardized reports, graphs, and analyzes the data, including performing trend analyses on data - Applies knowledge of stroke treatment methods to identify deviations in standards of medical care management practice to be brought forth to leadership - Provides reports/statistics for internal use by nursing, research department, physicians, etc. - Assists Stroke Program Manager with the development and implementation of processes that facilitate best practices in stroke including care coordination, patient care and achieving desired programmatic goals in collaboration with physicians and leadership teams. - Assists Stroke Program Manager with quality assurance, developing goals and objectives, as well as developing and implementing department wide policies and procedures.

  BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursingLicensure/Certification Requirements:

  Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.

  Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 3 months from date of hire.

  NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) preferred.

  $32.92 - $49.38 / hour

  The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
