　　JOB SUMMARY

　　The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital s mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.

　　EDUCATION

　　Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

　　BSN preferred

　　Mininum (1) one year RN experience in Cardiac or Critical Care Specialty preferred

　　REQUIREMENTS

　　Current and active NJ RN license

　　BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider.

　　ACLS Certification

　　Excellent verbal and written communication skills

　　Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

　　Flexible and adaptable

　　Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
