About Registered Nurse - Neurosciences and Specialty Care Surgery

  Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Neurosciences and Specialty Care Surgery Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. Our South 10 unit is a 36-bed unit with all private rooms. It is a comprehensive stroke certified by the Joint Commission, providing the highest level of stroke care. The unit also cares for acutely ill adult & geriatric patients with general and progressive care neurological problems & spinal cord disorders resulting in surgery, and patients with post op spinal drains. Care is also provided for patients with surgical specialty needs including urology and ENT procedures. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient's bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. We are proud of the care we give each and every patient. Work Schedule: 0.70 Nights. All 8 hour shifts. Every other weekend rotation. Required Qualifications: *Degree in Nursing *Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota *CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications: *BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire *One year of acute care RN experience is preferred Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
