The incumbent will not design intervention or assessment, however, in consultation with supervisor, will provide services to meet the needs of the individual of the cases assigned. Does related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and either:A. Completion of 60 semester credit hours with a concentration in Education, Human Services.; ORB. Two (2) years of full-time experience working with students with disabilities.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Persons qualifying above must satisfactorily complete a Registered Behavioral Technician training course approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board within one (1) year of appointment.NOTE: The Registered Behavioral Technician certification is required by Article 167 of the State of New York Education Law.NO RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: At the time of certification, preference in appointment may be given to successful candidates who are legal residents of the School District in which the appointment is to be made.Special Requirement for Appointment in School Districts and BOCES: Per Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and by Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required.
