Overview
We are seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager for the territories including Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new retail sales and cultivating/expanding sales with Garmin specialty dealers. This is an individual contributor position. Preference is for this role to be based out of your home in Billings, Bozeman or Missoula, MT. Role requires regional travel by vehicle. No relocation is provided.
Essential Functions
Establish and execute sales plans and sales promotions
Responsible for attaining sales targets and developing and executing strategies to increase market share and profits
Work closely with business partners to develop new programs for both retail and consumer use
Leverage product knowledge to create sales strategies attractive to potential dealers
Develop, maintain and share Garmin product knowledge with dealers
Monitor market for need to modify pricing to meet sales objectives and profit goals
Create and make sales presentations to prospects and existing accounts
Prepare and maintain monthly sales forecasts
Communicate market requirements effectively to product development teams
Manage large accounts with excellent project management skills and maintain excellent product and pricing knowledge
Able to travel, coordinate, and represent Garmin at industry and professional meetings, trade shows and conferences and complete timely and succinct trip and status reports
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 3 years experience in sales and marketing
Proven track record in sales successes and meeting/exceeding sales targets/goals
Highly motivated professional who demonstrates a customer service focus with proven experience in relationship building and providing quality customer service experiences
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills including ease of public speaking
Superior organizational/analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
Flexibility to travel (50% of time or greater)
Desired Qualifications
Personal and/or professional experience in Garmin's core market segments including recreation, outdoor, fitness and/or golf
Proficient or strong fundamental understanding of the outdoor retail industry
Excellent product knowledge of communication and navigation systems
