  About the role

  To support our growth we’re looking for a Regional Director of Marketing, Communications and Engagement (Bay Area Region) to join our awesome team!

  This senior marketing role :

  Reports directly to the Global VP of Marketing, Communication and Engagement (MCE) and leads a diverse, talented and multidisciplinary team of marketers for the Bay Area Region. It is also part of the Global Marketing Leadership Team, comprising other Regional MCE Directors and Global Functional MCE Leads.

  In addition, this role has a dotted reporting line to the Regional SVP of Operations for the Bay Area Region. It is also part of the Regional Bay Area Leadership Team, comprising Regional Operations Leads and Regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) Leads.

  The dual areas of accountability serve to seamlessly integrate global and regional marketing strategies and plans to effective and efficient on-ground impact and user experience. This strategic, executional and organizational leader will help shape and build the MCE strategy and determine how we operationalize to meet existing and emerging business needs. Demonstrated thought leadership, domain expertise, cross functional partnerships and inspiring leadership will set this individual up for success in an ecosystem that is rich, innovative, complex and ambiguous.

  This is a unique opportunity to shape marketing and communications for teams for the world’s leading "Food at Work" program by driving awareness, consideration, conversion and advocacy of our users. This leadership role builds and fosters stakeholder relationships within the Compass and Client organization by inspiring MCE excellence and creativity, working collaboratively across all teams and building transparency and trust.

  This hybrid role will be based in the Bay Area, California.

  This is a multifaceted role comprising of :

  Delivering regional (full funnel) MCE strategies and plans to drive operational and hospitality excellence.

  Designing user engagement, experiences and marketing campaigns around the Food program.

  Curating rich content across all channels and platforms, sparking user conversations and participation in the program.

  Leveraging data analytics to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all marketing initiatives and activities.

  Researching and understanding food trends and user insights to continually improve program strategy and operations by delivering innovative marketing solutions.

  Supporting risk, issues and change management communication in a dynamic environment.

  Leading or supporting impactful regional and global projects

  Expertly building and fostering strong stakeholder relationships across a rich, complex, ambiguous and ever-changing environment that includes the broad MCE universe, the internal Compass organization (regional and global) and importantly, client partners and affiliates.

  And leading and growing a regional MCE team..just to name a few.

  What we look for in the candidate

  Purpose-driven; highest level of integrity and values.

  BA or higher in Marketing or business management.

  15 years related marketing, communications and/or brand management experience in an FMCG, CPG, Retail or Hospitality industries, with a strong passion for food.

  Demonstrated success in the strategic development and activation of consumer brand campaigns, events and communications (full funnel strategy, including digital expertise).

  Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills with an appreciation and understanding of cultural nuances.

  Experience in building ecosystems and developing processes to organize, mobilize, scale and deliver consistent amidst time and business pressures and ambiguity.

  In addition to marketing and shopper communication skills, experience in crisis, issues and change management communications.

  Strong ability in inspiring, leading and building teams with direct and indirect supervisory/management skills across different countries/ regions.

  High level of resilience and confidence in navigating and managing highly complex, matrixed and ambiguous environments.

  High proficiency in stakeholder management and engagement. Ability to gain credibility and build trust with key stakeholder groups within Compass, the Client group and other program partners.
