  JOB DESCRIPTIONUse your skills and diverse experience in HVAC-R to help Resideo deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our facilities and customers. You will lead Resideo's talented Refrigeration team while working under immediate Facilities supervision. You will be part of a group of world class, highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of the Golden Valley site's commitment to the organization and its customers.The Refrigeration Group Lead will prioritize and perform tasks related to the success of a functioning 1.4 million sq foot facility, including, but not limited to operating, balancing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on air conditioning, ventilation, water, sprinkler and sewer systems.JOB DUTIES:Works under the direction of and refers difficulties to Facilities leadership for analysis and remedy and may direct one or more attendants and/or helpers. Prioritizes and performs projects within scope of HVAC-R.Balances air conditioning and ventilation systems using instruments such as velometer, anemometer, and draft gages; adjusts dampers to obtain proper flow across filters and coils.Operates and troubleshoots air conditioning, ventilation, water, sprinkler, and sewer systems, isolating troubles and taking the necessary action to correct the troubles. Check, adjust, and replace or calibrate temperature and pressure controls.Performs preventive maintenance tasks on equipment such as oiling units, adjusting belts, checking water pumps for flow, checking ductwork for fire hazards, checking chlorinators, checking operation of pneumatic control air compressors and accessories.Works from blueprint and schematic information such as piping layouts and duct layouts; understands and applies principles of air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration in terms of types of refrigerant and compressors; principles of relative humidity, vacuum, and pressure; and, components of air conditioning system.Keep records on day to day operation, on maintenance and repair of equipment. Orders supplies as required.MOS:Embrace and engage in the Resideo Operating System (MOS) including activities, but not limited to Safety & Behavioral Observation Process (BOP), 5S, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), Tiered Accountability Process, Standard Work, Rapid Problem Solving (RPS), Built In Quality (BIQ), Coaching, Total productive Maintenance (TPM) and Knowledge Sharing.YOU MUST HAVE:2 years of experience, preferably in a Building Automation and Control Systems environment, and extensive HVAC-R knowledgeCompleted with a passing grade all applicable EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification tests up to and including Type III (Universal: Low and High pressure equipment)Successful completion of 18 months Air Conditioning-Refrigeration school course at Dunwoody or equivalent school and 24 months experience.Ability to sustain physical effort when making repairs or adjustments on machines and equipment.Ability to work in conditions exposed to varying degrees of dust, dirt, heat, noise, etc.High School Diploma or GEDWE VALUE:Possessing an Electrician Power Limited Technician license from the State of Minnesota.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to read blueprints.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:Immediate vacation and sick time.Immediate eligibility for Resideo benefits, including 12 paid holidays, 10 days (80 hours) vacation, sick time, 401k (with a company match), health, vision, dental, and employee stock program.The Refrigeration Group Lead pays $44.40/hour with a scheduled increase of 2.25%, effective April 1, 2024.#LI-TD1#LI-ONSITEABOUT USResideo is a leading global provider of critical comfort and security solutions primarily in residential environments and distributor of low-voltage electronic and security products.
