About Recycling/Sustainability Lead - Grand Canyon North Rim

  Job Description

  The Recycling Lead is responsible for coordinating property recycling efforts.

  Job Responsibilities

  Job Responsibilities

  ? Responsible for training property staff in the proper and safe operation of recycling equipment.

  ? Responsible for transporting recyclables.

  ? Distribute and empty recyclable containers throughout the property.

  ? Responsible for training and assisting staff with the recycling program.

  ? Prepares, maintains, and submits necessary records of recycled materials.

  ? Reports instances of non-conformance by departments of processing procedures for recyclables.

  ? Responsible for compliance with safety standards as applicable to the job.

  ? Other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  ? Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver license.

  ? Capable of driving a vehicle over 1 ton with trailer.

  ? Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision to complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.

  ? Knows and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs.

  ? Works extra shifts and hours as required.

  ? Assists in other departments as needed.

  ? Ability to perform manual physical labor inside and outside even in inclement weather.

  ? Ability to lift 70 lbs.; visual acuity to recognize and complete repairs safely.

  ? Climb stairs, ladders, walk on a variety of surfaces and stand for extended periods of time.

  ? Kneel; bend; stoop; turn/twist; and reach down, forward, and overhead repetitively.

  ? Required to wear closed-toe, slip resistant footwear

  ? Experience in recycling or related education preferred.

  This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
