　　Recreation Supervisor (Aquatics)

　　SALARY

　　$20.72 - $33.15 Hourly

　　This position is responsible for supervising assigned aquatic and non-aquatic recreation programs and for supervising and participating in the maintenance of sports fields, tennis courts, aquatic facilities, parks, and other facilities.

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited* college or university with a bachelors degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Physical Education, Special Education, or a closely related field; and

　　One (1) year full-time experience in the supervision of activities or grounds maintenance in a specialty (recreation/athletics/aquatics/therapeutics /seniors/other); and

　　Possession of a current/valid certification in the following is preferred:

　　Alabama Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA) Professional Recreator CertificateAquatic Facility Operator (AFO) CertificationCPR/First Aid InstructorCertified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP)Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI)Certified Pool Operator (CPO)Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM)Certified Sports Official (Such as Dixie Youth, Special Olympics, etc.)Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)Certified Youth Sports AdministratorGroup Fitness Instructor (From an Accredited Institution/Program)Ornamental and Turf Pest Control Supervisor or Custodial (OTPS/OTPC) CertificationPersonal Trainer Certification (From an Accredited Institution/ Program)ServSafe Manager CertificateTurfgrass Management CertificationUSA Archery - Level I Instructor CertificationWater Safety Instructor (WSI) CertificationARC Lifeguard CertificationARC Lifeguard Instructor CertificationPossession of a current/valid American Red Cross CPR/AED certificate preferred.?Possession of a current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification(s) preferred.

　　Condition of Employment/Promotion/Demotion/TransferEmployees are required to complete Certification of Understanding and Condition of Employment/Promotion/ Demotion/Transfer form.

　　NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. (PBA09/10/01)
