Responsibilities Plans, markets and conducts an ongoing program to provide conditioning programs for facility users. Instructs individuals and groups in the proper conditioning and training for aerobic and muscular fitness, body composition and flexibility. Instructs patrons in the proper use of equipment and self-monitored progress by preparing written instructions and procedures for use of equipment and safety of all users. Supervises assigned personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Experience which enables the candidate to independently carry out a basic physical fitness program. 2. Education or experience in managing a physical fitness program. Highly Preferred Criteria: 1. Possess a Personal Training Certification and Group Class Instructor Certification. 2. A degree in Health & Fitness or two (2) years' experience in the Health & Fitness field and high school diploma. 3. Possess a current nationally recognized certification CPR & AED. 4. Knowledge and understanding on how to plan, develop, and conduct a diversified fitness program through proper application of the fitness principles, concepts and techniques. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
