  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Individual who acts as the central point ofcommunication among patients, partners and providers; responsible forproviding front line activities to include scheduling, registration,cash handling and overall support services to patients and guests.Family Practice, Evansville WI 80 Hours/2 Weeks Monday - Friday 8am-5pm(Mon-Thu in Evansville & Fri in Brodhead) No Weekends, No HolidaysResponsibilities Clerical Answers incoming telephone calls, determinespurpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel androutes Epic Messages to nursing and provider as appropriate. Retrievesmessages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel. Answersquestions about organization, physicians, and available services,providing callers with address, directions, and other information asappropriate. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business,and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Monitors visitor accessand issues passes when required. Receives, sorts, and routes mail, andmaintains and routes publications. Orders, receives, and maintainsoffice supplies. Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, andretrieves and routes incoming faxes. Creates and prints fax coversheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents whennecessary. Performs other clerical duties as needed. Epic Scheduling andRegistration Schedules patient appointments Responsible for EMR(Electronic Medical Records) registration /check-in processes in Epic.Loads, verifies and updates patient demographics. Scans, loads andverifies insurance coverage. Collects signed HIPAA and Consent forTreatment documents, updates the interactive face sheet and sendsdocuments to Medical Records for scanning. Reviews all \"Alerts\" inEpic and refers patient to a PFC when necessary. Collects co-paymentsand other self-pay obligations when required and post in Epic whenregistering patient. Provides patient with an estimated self-payobligation when appropriate. Performs cashiering functions/onlinepayment posting within Epic. Processes payments and deposits by adheringto the system\'s Cash Handling Policy. Completes daily closing reportand balances their individual cash drawer at the end of each day.Performs petty cash count in and out daily and records appropriately.Assist patients with MyChart signup and activation. Replies to MyChartmessages in a timely manner, closing messages when complete. Safeguardspatient privacy and confidentiality per MHS policies. Preps Routes dailyfor upcoming appointments for frontline registration. Reviews daily workqueues and corrects identified patient registration errors.
