The CAN Council is a regional nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect through its nationally accredited and evidence-based education, intervention, and advocacy programs. Founded in 1979, the CAN Council has consistently grown to meet the needs of the community's children and families, providing services in Arenac, Bay, Huron, and Saginaw counites. Position
The CAN Council Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service to all guests of the CAN Council. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this hourly position ensures guests are attended to in a timely and caring manner. The Receptionist additionally ensures the office environment is welcoming and supports the work of our programs and administrative teams. The primary work location is the CAN Council Bay County office. Job responsibilities will be conducted within the 8am-5pm workday with occasional presence necessary at weekend and/or evening events.
Responsibilities
Greet all visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Control incoming employee and guest access to the office via video monitor. Ensure that guests are signing in and out of the visitor log for grant and emergency purposes.Answer a multi-line telephone system and transfer calls as appropriate.Check for daily incoming and outgoing mail.Maintain office supplies and equipment, kitchen and cleaning inventory levels.Assist staff with basic day-to-day copying and printing questions.Complete office projects including cutting, folding and other clerical duties required for the organization's success, as assigned.Maintain the appearance of the receptionist area/front office, conference rooms, and any other common areas. Coordinate any maintenance concerns with Operations Manager.Set-up and tear down the conference rooms for meetings, as needed.Other job duties to be assigned.
Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent office experience; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; organized and timely; proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases; ability to work efficiently, effectively and with flexibility.
