　　POSITION VACANCY

　　Real Property Tax Appraiser

　　Ashe County is seeking additional applications to fill a vacancy in the Tax Administration Department as Real Property Tax Appraiser. Successful applicant will be responsible for performing technical work in appraising land, residential buildings, commercial/industrial buildings and building improvements for tax assessment purposes in Ashe County. Employee is also responsible for computing and pricing lot sizes, construction areas, subdivisions and land splits. Applicant will use computer assisted mass appraisal programs to reach final appraised values. Employee should have knowledge of the NC Machinery Act and County tax policies. Applicant must exercise independent judgment and must exercise considerable tact in completing assigned tasks. Starting salary grade begins at: $43,029.00 annually plus excellent benefits package.
