The position is an excellent opportunity for an individual to contribute to the long-term growth and development of the North American Analytical Center of Excellence. This position is primarily accountable for using scientific approaches to provide support to our applied research & product development programs and solve paint & coating problems for our North American businesses. Responsibilities include: Appropriate application of analytical techniques and data analysis in support of problem-solving, regulatory projects and quality issues. Work with team members to develop new methods and implement new analytical techniques. Collaborate with various business partners to support research and new product development. Accurate documentation and presentation of lab results and technical information. Identify potential Continuous Improvement opportunities and drive necessary actions for implementation. Other Duties as Assigned EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics ("STEM") field Preferred: Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Material Science EXPERIENCE: Required: Basic math skills Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Experience with some of the following analytical techniques: FTIR, GC, GCMS, Microscopy, NIR, LC, GPC.
