Eaton's IS VEH Power Connections division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - 2nd Shift . This position is based at our Carol Stream, Il location. The Quality Technician will be primarily responsible for validation and production inspections of all products produced from manufacturing and assembly processes, proper use and maintenance of measurement tools and equipment. The hourly rate for this position is $20-$25 per hour + $1/hr shift premium. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. 　　What you'll do:

　　• Performs incoming receiving inspection

　　• Measure parts to ensure that they are within specifications using Calipers, Micrometers, Comparators

　　• Perform random quality audits

　　• Notify Product Manager and others of quality issues

　　• Maintains QC hold room, monitors status with the intent of timely disposition with other QC personal

　　• Ensure that other employees are aware of proper quality inspection activities

　　• Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.

　　Qualifications:

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　• High School diploma or GED Equivalent

　　• Minimum of 1 year experience in Quality Control

　　• Ability to read & interpret Blueprints

　　• Basic knowledge of GD&T

　　• Use of Calipers, Micrometers, Comparators

　　• Must reside within 50 miles of site location

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　• Manufacturing environment experience

　　• Intermediate skill in Office Suite

　　• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills

　　• Knowledge of Micro-vu' OGP and Keyence Vision inspection equipment

　　Skills

　　• Employee required to lift to 40lbs

　　• Noise level in plant is moderate, hearing protection is required in posted areas

　　• Safety glasses and steel toed boots are required

　　• Ability to comply with all safety protocols
