In this Quality Inspection II role, you will perform In-Process and Final Inspection operations on microwave modules and/or elements utilizing a microscope for the majority of the workday. Using predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect moderate to complex assemblies and subassemblies to ensure compliance to applicable quality specifications and standards. Work from blueprints, diagrams, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. You will receive intense training to become a certified inspector utilizing MIL-STD-883 criteria to inspect microwave modules and/or elements including MMICs, resistors, diodes, caps, substrates and all bonding types (gold wire and ribbon), which are inspected in accordance with MIL-STD-883.
This role will be performed full-time onsite because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular job. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
U.S. Citizenship
Computer literate and able to navigate production related software.
English literacy is required to ensure the candidate will be capable of following instructions and safety guidelines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to focus on tasking while paying attention to detail.
Ability to work under general supervision.
Ability to read, understand, and follow process instructions and other related documents.
Capable of performing the In-Process Inspection operation while utilizing a low andhigh-powermicroscope for the majority of theworkday.
Inspection and or Manufacturing experience.
Ability to read, understand, and follow process instructions, customer drawings, and other related documents.
High School Degree or GED equivalent.
Able to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Inspection experience of electronic devices like MMICs, resistors, diodes, caps, IC's, substrates, and all bonding types (wire and ribbon) in accordance with military specifications like MIL-STD-883 and/or IPC-A-610.
Experienced in a Manufacturing environment producing military-grade electronics.
Tracking factory hardware and non-conformances in systems like Solumina and TIPQA.
Experience in cleanroom, ESD and FOD controlled areas.
Knowledge of Military standards including MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534 and IPC-A-610.
Internal Auditing.
Have a Secret level Security Clearance.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $45320 - $72490
