Position Overview
At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Quality Inspector to help us advance the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Responsibilities
Under normal supervision, perform day-to-day receiving and inspection duties by performing Quality Inspection tasks to determine purchased raw materials, hardware, detail parts, subassemblies and assemblies meet purchase order requirements.
Candidate must have good attention to detail, as well as organization and communication skills; must be able to function as a Team Member and support our goals and objectives.
Must maintain a neat, organized work area and practice good housekeeping.
Must adhere to all safety and department procedures, practices, and directives.
Minimum Requirements
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Ability to perform basic math computations.
General knowledge of hand tools.
Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specs.
Basic computer skills.
Must be a US person.
Preferred Requirements
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
Comfortable with using the current ERP system (SAP).
Basic understanding of 3D modeling, such as use of CATIA.
Quality and/or aerospace experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.
Ability to transport objects up to 35 pounds as well as consistently stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb and kneel.
Must be able to work all shifts as needed (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Work onsite in Bridgeport, WV.
Salary Range (Annualized USD)
Minimum Range: $33,000.00 to $58,000.00
Maximum Range: $42,000.00 to $74,000.00
