Description:
The Quality Engineer is a key contributor to the organization and must act with a sense of urgency. The Quality Engineer will oversee quality management systems, including product inspections, testing, sample approvals, and corrective action implementation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with remote employees, third-party inspections and in-house inspections and understand qualifications for approvals of raw materials and finished goods. This position will maintain close working relationships with our engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure quality standards are effective at early stages in the manufacturing process and evident in the final products.
• Process improvement knowledge in a manufacturing environment such as Lean Manufacturing,
• Six Sigma, etc., to drive operational excellence system is a plus.
• Experience in process design and new product development.
• Experience working with non-native English speakers
• Technical knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and apparel manufacturing is considered
• a plus
• Ability to work in a small team atmosphere with little supervision and integrate into an existing
• team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Establish inspection methodologies and frequency requirement for current and new products
• Support production and partner with the in-country QC team to implement design changes and
• issue corrective action plans
• Review and contribute to engineering documents (drawings, material specifications, BOM, etc.).
• Responsible for the development and administration of a quality management system (QMS)
• within the organization that is reflective of organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement standard procedures and documents
• Ensure that the proper training of all pertinent personnel on standard procedures is performed.
• Perform periodic audit of products and adherence to bills of material.
• Assist with or lead corrective actions regarding quality items.
• Lead or assist with inspection plans, FMEAs and etc.
• Manage quality metrics and present findings and recommendations to management.
• Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.
• Answer customer complaints and ensure that quality issues are resolved promptly.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate, select, qualify, and onboard new material
• suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Apply Lean practices and statistical analysis to drive focused quality assurance practices with
• maximum efficiency
• Arrange third party inspections when needed.
