Summary You will serve as a QUALITY DATA ANALYST in the Quality Control Branch (Code 221), Process Controls Division (Code 220), Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will compile, analyze, categorize, and assemble data received from deficiency logs, surveillance, audit reports, etc. You will prepare periodic analysis reports using database factors for distribution. You will monitor and analyze/evaluate processes within the department to detect negative trend. You will provide data manipulation to display data in varying formats and ad-hoc selective factors. You will develop and present data for management presentations at project status reviews. You will prepare charts and graphs as necessary to present current status of ongoing projects and programs. You will review reporting and data control systems requirements in coordination with the project managers to achieve the required degree of management control. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying conventional methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information concerning quality data issues. Experience monitoring and measuring the level of quality in all products and services. Experience applying qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques such as productivity charting, flow charting of work processes, graphing, and calculation of means, modes, standard deviations, or similar statistical measures. Experience utilizing electronic equipment and systems such as, but not limited to, personal computer, Access Database, Excel, and PowerPoint.
