Scheduled hours are 6:00am to 3:00pm Monday through FridayHours/schedule may vary for QA coverageThe Quality Assurance Coordinatoris responsible for coaching and educating plant employees on qualityrequirements related to production and pre-requisite programs. Thisposition also leads in decision making in maintaining and improving Foodsafety and Quality programs. The Quality Assurance Coordinator willpromote a food safety culture and collaboration across departments inall they do. This position ensures documentation and records meetcompliance. Finally, this position also provides backup to the QualityTechnician as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitorquality programs and documentation in Quality Expectation Manual such asGMPs, HACCP/Food Safety, Sanitation, Hold/Release, MetalDetection/Sifter/X-ray/Preventative Control, COAs, Foreign MaterialControl, Pest Control and Internal Auditing. Monitor all environmental,in-process and finished product analytical and micro results and help tofacilitate root cause analysis and follow-up on corrective actions wherenecessary. Initiate investigations in the case of results out ofspecification, customer complaints, or process deviations andinitiate/finalize Cause & Corrective Action Reports or Foreign MaterialReports as necessary, handle Supplier and Customer complaintseffectively. Ensure compliance of Corporate and plant level StandardOperating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), andregulatory requirements by performing regular plant walkthroughs.Conduct necessary inspections such as Internal Audits/Plant Inspections,Glass/Hard Plastic Inspections, Metal Detection, HACCP/Food Safetyreviews, Pest Inspections and mock recalls at least two times per yearon appropriate schedules. Daily review of all CCP/PC records,Certificates of Analysis (COA\'s), concentration checks and Pre-StartupInspections.
