Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

　　Responsibilities:Work side by side with development and business partners to determine optimal test coverage and ensure high quality software is delivered to our customersPlanning, executing, and managing the testing effort for a variety of projects across multiple lines of business and technology platformsExpected to learn the business and technical components of an application to appropriately communicate risk and status to managerWork with their peers across the organization to drive test efficiencies, improve frameworks, and enhance the enterprise testing processOversee all aspects of software and product testing within the companyDeveloping test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults, and reviewing QA reportsDesigns, develops, and performs manual software tests, test plans and test cases on Agilent products to meet quality objectives in conformance with customer requirements and required standards and regulationsPerforms analysis of test results and tracks/reports risk levels during test executionDiagnosing software/hardware/data interface problems and ensuring system integrationDocuments test results, including deviations and defects, for follow-up and modification of productsCollaborates with peer engineers, architects, and development engineers to address issues and resolve problemsWill direct the work with offshore/onshore counterparts, product partners, etc. to meet contract specified deliverablesMay review and approve peer test resultsMay produce and execute the Software Quality Plan to ensure quality metrics are metMay maintain test environments/data to be used with test automationIdentify issues, facilitate review of those issues with leads, and execute defect management as appropriatePrepare Test Metrics, Test Results, Ad-Hoc reports that show the progress of testing and the result of all testsWork with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle and recommend/facilitate quality improvement effortsParticipates in the design and planning of automation for applicationsIdentifies test scenarios to automate including: critical path, high risk functionality, tests prone to human error, tests that require multiple data sets, tests that take more time to perform manually and tests that are repetitive

　　Requirements: 5+ years of proven software testing experienceStrong experience within the Agile Methodology working in JIRA, (SCRUM/Kanban) software development methodologies and testing framework5+ years of UI and Backend/database testing experience required and candidate should have the ability to write SQL scripts to analyze data and perform specific data queriesDeep understanding of the software development and QA life cycle processes (including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting)Strong knowledge of tools such as Client ALM/Quality Center, JIRA, and RallyProven ability to work on testing projects of all sizes and proven experience driving issue resolutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills interact across all levels from junior members to senior managementCoordination skills and ability to work seamlessly with geographically dispersed teamsAdaptive, flexible, and comfortable working in a matrix environment as a Sr. team member or an individual contributor2-4 years' experience in Automation testing (QTP/UFT/Selenium/TOSCA) specifically, the candidate will develop, enhance, update and maintain suites of automated test scripts for regression testing of applicationsExtensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to project manage
